Thrift Store Challenge

Are you curious to find out how on earth I ended up dressed like this?




(Psssst – Just for the record I don’t think I’ve ever looked more beautiful!)

They decided to throw down this challenge.




Can I tell you how much I love a good challenge?  Well…..

I LOVE A CHALLENGE!

So, naturally I roped Mishelle in on this challenge with me… We are a team after all.  We are both totally obsessed with thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales…. basically we love a bargain.  So this video spoke to our souls.  I love rap music and thrifting… match made in heaven.





It only took two steps in the door to realize today was gonna be a good day… It’s official we won the Thrifty Lottery!

 



Umhmmmm… I got me one too!






Didn’t even take us 5 minutes to start checking items off the list!




I have to pause here for a minute…..
I wouldn’t be a good Blogger if I didn’t stop and give you Novice Thrift Store Shoppers some useful advice would I?  Here it is….
When you enter a large Thrift Store like this.





It’s always good to stretch first… you know to get yourself ready for the challenge ahead…. in order to do so you must find the nearest rack of the tightest, most awesomest Amateur Wrestling Gear ever like so.





Can you feel the burn just looking at me?  I know right?!!  I am so ready now… It’s on!!! 
It’s also important to wear comfy shoes.





All good choices with plenty of extra breathing room.
Also, if your Thrift Store is bright, a nice wide-brimmed hat is always a good idea.






Okay.  I’d say we are ready now!!
Watch out Thrift City we’re comin’ fer ya!!!!!!
Okay back to the list.  So far we’ve got the big a*$ coat.  Now is it possible we could find a Pink Outfit or Two?  You betcha!






We wouldn’t have won the Thrifty Lottery if we only found 1….





Seriously… who wants to go with me to the 9th grade dance?  I’m available… and I have a dress.
Okay, Pink Dress done.  Before I unveil our next look I need us to all have a quick sing-a-long to get in the mood….. follow me…. sing….

Not only did Mishelle kick that Dookie Brown Leather Coat’s booty, she also rocked some Velour Animal Print (sorry no Zebra to be found) pants.  While we are on the subject of rocking out….






Broken Keyboard – Check. 
Just when we thought we were ready to pack up our stuff and end this show, we crossed one more find off of our list.






Luggage – Big Check.
We sure did save the Best for Last though!

 

That Girl sure does know how to Rock some Footy Pajamas!!
And that brings me back full circle to how I ended up like this.






Is it a Teletubby? Is it a member of the Slovakian Bobsled team?  Who knows.  Who cares when you look this cool. 
Not for sure which item this crosses off the list – Footy PJ’s, Jumpsuit, Rockin’ Shiny Bodywear?
Just one more for giggles….





I’d say we rocked this challenge!
Oh… wait… we did end up with a few things to take home (not the Thrifty Lottery though).
